Baseball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

Southwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ithaca Bulldogs.

Southwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ithaca, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Coincidentally, Southwestern and Ithaca will both be playing Richland Center the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Hornets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
