Basketball Recap: Lewis Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lewis can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Woodson Cavaliers and fell 56-19. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 90th).

Lewis has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Woodson, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

As of now, neither Lewis nor the Cavaliers have any future games scheduled.
