Baseball Game Preview: South Central Satellites vs. Triton Trojans

The South Central Satellites will square off against the Triton Trojans at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Friday, South Central didn't have quite enough to beat Boone Grove and fell 9-8. The Satellites haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Triton rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Bluejays.

Drew Bingamon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 17 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Triton secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Levi McFarland, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Triton is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for South Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.
