Softball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

If Heritage was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Howell on Sunday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks fell just short of the Davison Cardinals by a score of 11-10 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-8 loss back in April.

Kayla Flores was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Robinson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Davison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

While Heritage had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
