Softball Recap: Sam Rayburn Comes Up Short

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to the Pearland Oilers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Oilers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in February.

Sam Rayburn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleah Garza, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Pearland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Sam Rayburn will challenge South Houston at 4:00 a.m. on March 25th. Sam Rayburn is facing South Houston at the right time seeing as South Houston is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Pearland, they will take on Alvin at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
