Basketball Recap: Brazosport Christian Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Founders Classical Academy last Friday, Brazosport Christian came back down to earth. The Brazosport Christian Eagles were dealt an 86-48 loss at the hands of the O'Connell Buccaneers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Brazosport Christian lost, don't look at Luke Coburn. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points.

Even though they lost, Brazosport Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 21 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Brazosport Christian's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-6. As for O'Connell, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-5.
