Basketball Recap: Grant Drops Season-High Score on Mcclatchy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grant). They enjoyed a cozy 81-63 win over the McClatchy Lions on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Pacers: when they faced off against the Lions back in January, they had to take a 76-65 loss.

When it comes to explaining why McClatchy lost, don't look at Kai Bradford. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Bradford continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nehemiah Miller, who earned 16 points.

Grant has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for McClatchy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grant will square off against Cordova at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cordova has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 16 straight defeats, while Grant will come in with three straight victories. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. McClatchy will need to watch out since Destiny Christian Academy has now posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
