Basketball Recap: St. David's Piles Up the Points Against Thales Academy Apex

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. David). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Thales Academy Apex Titans 74-29. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

St. David's was led to victory by Will Migdal and Giorgios Panagos. Migdal shot 79% from the field en route to 23 points along with six assists and three steals, while Panagos went 8-for-13 to rack up 21 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Migdal now owns an excellent 45.6% field goal percentage. Mason Wadsworth also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

St. David's smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Thales Academy Apex lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Om Shah, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Zach Lehman, who had eight points.

St. David's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Thales Academy Apex, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

St. David's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-40 victory against Chatham HomeSchool on the 20th. As for Thales Academy Apex, they have also already played their next game, a 92-19 defeat against GRACE Christian on the 19th.
