Basketball Game Preview: Stephenson Eagles vs. Munising Mustangs

Stephenson hasn't had much luck against Munising recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Stephenson Eagles will face off against the Munising Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Stephenson will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Stephenson was able to grind out a solid victory over Manistique, taking the game 38-28.

Meanwhile, Munising entered their game against Ishpeming on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Munising took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ishpeming.

Stephenson pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Munising, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-3.

Things could have been worse for Stephenson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-49 loss to Munising in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Stephenson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
