Softball Recap: Brookfield Warriors vs. Liberty Leopards
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southeast, Brookfield was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Liberty Leopards 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Leopards last Monday, they had to take a 9-6 defeat.

Madison Obermiyer was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Obermiyer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Brookfield let Grace Teal and Mya Jumper run wild. Teal went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Jumper went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave Jumper a new career-high.
Brookfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
