Soccer Game Preview: Cibola vs. San Luis

Cibola is 0-10 against San Luis since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Cibola Raiders will welcome the San Luis Sidewinders at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Cibola turned things around against Yuma on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Criminals, sneaking past 2-1.

Joemar Valenzuela and Alexander Martinez scored both of Cibola's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, San Luis entered their tilt with Gila Ridge on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They never let the Hawks onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. Considering the Sidewinders have won four games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

San Luis pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matches. As for Cibola, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
