Baseball Recap: Deming Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Deming dropped their record down to 17-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors, falling 18-2. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Deming saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Estevan Mariscal, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Santa Teresa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by seven runs or more this season.

On Santa Teresa's side, Marcos Rivera looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Santa Teresa got a massive performance out of Jackson Simpson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Ardon Luna, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

While Deming had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
