Basketball Game Preview: Grand Oaks Grizzlies vs. Willis Wildkats

The Grand Oaks Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Willis Wildkats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grand Oaks will head into Friday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Oak Ridge on Friday. Grand Oaks took their match with ease, bagging a 61-34 victory over Oak Ridge. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Willis came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 50-45 win over the War Eagles.

Grand Oaks has also been performing well recently as they've won 20 of their last 24 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Willis, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9.

Grand Oaks was able to grind out a solid win over Willis when the teams last played back in January, winning 60-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand Oaks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
