Basketball Recap: Hercules Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley Christian last Thursday, Hercules came back down to earth. The Hercules Titans received a blow on Saturday as they fell 44-26 to the Antioch Panthers. The match marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Antioch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devin Simes, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamren Anderson, who had eight points.

Hercules' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Antioch, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hercules will head out to take on Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Antioch, they will head out on the road to square off against Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
