Soccer Recap: Montague Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Montague barely beat Manistee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats never let the Chippewas get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Monday. Considering Montague have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Montague's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Manistee, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montague is set to square off against their familiar foe Fremont at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Manistee will challenge rival Whitehall at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
