Basketball Recap: Marengo Comes Up Short

Marengo was the 51-38 winner over Harvard when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Marengo Indians took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harvard Hornets on Tuesday.

Marengo dropped their record down to 5-24 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Harvard, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 5-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marengo will venture away from home to take on Richmond-Burton at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Richmond-Burton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. As for Harvard, they will head out on the road to challenge Genoa-Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
