Football Recap: Madison West Comes Up Short

After flying high against Madison La Follette last Friday, Madison West came back down to earth. The Regents were beaten by the Verona Wildcats 40-7 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Regents in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

Madison West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Verona, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison West will take on Janesville Craig at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Verona, they will square off against Madison East at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th. The Wildcats will be up against the Purgolders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.14 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
