Volleyball Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly suffered their biggest loss since October 14, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Murrieta Mesa Rams, falling 3-0. Bears fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Rams since Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.

Leading Murrieta Mesa to victory were Sade Valencia and Livie Corelli. Valencia had eight digs and two assists, while Corelli had seven digs and two assists. That's the most digs Corelli has posted over her last six contests. Analei Bradley also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Poly has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Murrieta Mesa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1-2.

Poly has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Patriot on the 22nd. As for Murrieta Mesa, they will head out to square off against Vista at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
