Basketball Recap: North Davidson Has No Trouble Against Jordan-Matthews

North Davidson's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Jordan-Matthews Jets 58-34. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Black Knights this season.

Bryton Zimmerman had a dynamite game for North Davidson, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Those 18 points gave Zimmerman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cali Cooper, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

North Davidson was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Jets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelsey Morris, who posted four points in addition to five boards and four steals. Morris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassidy Graves, who had six points and four steals.

North Davidson's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Jordan-Matthews, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

North Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-28 loss against Ashe County on the 28th. As for Jordan-Matthews, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-12 defeat against East Forsyth on the 28th.
