Football Recap: White County Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Van Buren County

White County faced Van Buren County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Warriors secured a 27-21 W over the Eagles. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Callieanna Griggs, who rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns she has posted since April 8th.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: White County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 185 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Van Buren County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ellie Grissom, who rushed for 57 yards on only five carries, and also caught one TD.

White County's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Van Buren County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

As of now, neither White County nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
