Football Recap: Affton Takes a Loss

Affton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 31-24 to Clayton/Brentwood. The Cougars lost against Clayton/Brentwood in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-13 score last time.

Affton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Clayton/Brentwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Affton will square off against Riverview Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Clayton/Brentwood, they will face off against Jennings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 8.7 points per game this season, so Clayton/Brentwood's offense will have their work cut out for them.
