Volleyball Game Preview: Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes vs. Cypress Bay Lightning

The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes will head out on the road to square off against the Cypress Bay Lightning at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pompano Beach extended their home winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Gabriel Souza. Pompano Beach walked away with a 3-1 victory over South Broward on Wednesday which was due in part to Souza, who had 12 digs and two aces. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times he's played.

Pompano Beach walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 17-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Cypress Bay had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Archbishop McCarthy with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday.
