Baseball Recap: North Harford's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

North Harford dropped their record down to 11-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Harford Tech Cobras by a score of 1-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

As for Harford Tech, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Harford Tech's part, not much got past CJ Scism, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep North Harford off the board. Scism also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Cobras are 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Harford Tech saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Lane, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

While North Harford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
