            Baseball Recap: Dearborn Pioneers vs. Fordson Tractors        
        
		
        
        
            While Dearborn didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Fordson Tractors with a sharp  12-0 win on Wednesday. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by ten  runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to  Nathan Wood's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  Glenn Scurlock was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. That  home run was  his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bilal Berry, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run.

The  victory (which was Dearborn's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fordson,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Coming up, Dearborn will host Stevenson  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Pioneers are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak. As for Fordson, they will head out to  take on Clarenceville  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
