Soccer Recap: Orcas Island Beats Lopez for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Lopez kept up with Orcas Island until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Vikings' defense stepped up to hand the Lobos a 3-0 shutout. Considering Orcas Island have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Junior Conejo Medina and Amaru Shanks Morales scored all three of Orcas Island's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

The victory keeps Orcas Island at an undefeated 10-0-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six matches. As for Lopez, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
