It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but New Plymouth ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over The Ambrose School Archers. The victory was nothing new for the Pilgrims as they're now sitting on six straight.

New Plymouth got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaden Hawker out in front who posted nine points and five assists. Ashton Robinson was another key player, putting up eight points and 17 boards.

New Plymouth smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, The Ambrose School still got an impressive performance from Lincoln Mathis, who almost dropped a double-double with 35 points and nine rebounds. Mathis' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristen Trevino, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five boards.

New Plymouth pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for The Ambrose School, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

New Plymouth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-35 loss against Melba on the 12th. As for The Ambrose School, they have also already played their next game, a 69-49 win against Parma on the 12th.
