Recap: Harrison Central Red Rebels vs. Ridgeland Titans
After a string of four wins, the Harrison Central Red Rebels's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Ridgeland 56-51.
Several Red Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaden Eckford, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals. Shaun Murray was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Harrison Central's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Ridgeland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrison Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against D'Iberville at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. D'Iberville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Harrison Central is ranked 29th). As for Ridgeland, they will head out on the road to take on Warren Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
