Basketball Recap: Lincoln Leadership Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Brandon Young and Robert Baker

It was a proper cat-fight when Lincoln Leadership Academy took on Saucon Valley on Monday. The Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saucon Valley Panthers. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 74-49 to them when the teams met back in January of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Robert Baker and Brandon Young certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Baker posted 16 points and eight boards, while Young almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwight Prud'Homme, who put up five points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, Lincoln Leadership Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saucon Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adam Clark, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. Clark is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Robertson, who earned 11 points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Lincoln Leadership Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-5 record this season. As for Saucon Valley, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Lincoln Leadership Academy has already played their next contest, a 54-44 win against Motivation on the 4th. As for Saucon Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-46 victory against Palisades on the 4th.
