            Baseball Recap: Nash Central Bulldogs vs. Northwest Halifax Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Nash Central). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Northwest Halifax Vikings  an   18-0 shutout  on Friday. Considering the Bulldogs have won four matches by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Tyler Bowen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-low in  hits. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Nash Central: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 1-2 otherwise.
 In other pitching news,  Dylan Moseley looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.

 Back at the plate, Nash Central got a  massive  performance out of  Tanner Moss, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave  Moss a new career-high in  RBI (three). Another player making a difference was  Aiden Parks, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run.
Nash Central's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Northwest Halifax, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Coming up, Nash Central will take on East Chapel Hill at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Nash Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so East Chapel Hill's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northwest Halifax, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Weldon  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
