Baseball Recap: Front Range Christian Takes a Loss

Front Range Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They fell 10-5 to the Peyton Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Front Range Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Deza, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Deza snagged this season.

Front Range Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Peyton, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Front Range Christian will be playing at home against Flatirons Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peyton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Peyton Panthers duke it out with Lyons Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Lyons has averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
