Baseball Recap: Speedway Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Speedway's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Triton Central Tigers on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Sparkplugs have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Speedway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Beiswinger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Speedway and nudges their season record down to 1-5-1. As for Triton Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Speedway will head out on the road to square off against Shelbyville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Sparkplugs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Bears have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Triton Central, they will take on Eastern Hancock at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
