Basketball Game Preview: Wayland-Cohocton Eagles vs. Honeoye Bulldogs

The Wayland-Cohocton Eagles will square off against the Honeoye Bulldogs at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Wayland-Cohocton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Wayland-Cohocton came up short against Perry and fell 59-48.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Cole Hanggi, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Charles Mulford, who had six points in addition to 12 boards and four steals.

Even though they lost, Wayland-Cohocton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Honeoye waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. Everything went their way against the Jaguars as they made off with a 70-47 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

Honeoye's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points over those games. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
