Madonna won the last time they faced Wellsville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Blue Dons put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 19-0 win. The Blue Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Reno Fuscardo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddox Bowen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brayden Miller, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

Madonna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .743. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Madonna's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Wellsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Madonna will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Monroe Central at 5:30 p.m. The Blue Dons are facing the Seminoles at the right time seeing as the Seminoles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wellsville, they will head out to take on Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Crusaders will have lost eight straight heading into Thursday's contest.
