Recap: Los Osos Grizzlies vs. Claremont Wolfpack

The Los Osos Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Claremont 63-35 on the road. That looming 63-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Los Osos yet this season.

Claremont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Cardenas, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Cardenas' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Rosales, who scored five points.

Claremont struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Los Osos' victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Claremont, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Los Osos will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rancho Cucamonga at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Claremont, they will head out on the road to face off against Diamond Ranch at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
