Basketball Game Preview: Oroville Hornets vs. Bridgeport Mustangs

The Oroville Hornets will take on the Bridgeport Mustangs in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Oroville came up short against Waterville and fell 47-36. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Wilson Creek to the tune of 76-27. Fans of the Mustangs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Bridgeport's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Oroville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Oroville ended up a good deal behind Bridgeport in their previous matchup back in January, losing 67-49. Can Oroville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
