Football Recap: Corydon Central Comes Up Short

Corydon Central and North Harrison squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Corydon Central had to settle for second. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 35-34 to the Cougars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (32), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Corydon Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.6 points over those games. As for North Harrison, their record now sits at 4-6.

Corydon Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Harrison, they will face off against Scottsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 11.3 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
