Softball Recap: Middle Tennessee Christian Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Middle Tennessee Christian's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bell County Bobcats, sneaking past 4-3.

Riley Osborne was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Allena Reynolds also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Middle Tennessee Christian's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Bell County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars take on Battle Ground Academy Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bell County, they will be taking part in a tournament against North Jackson at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. North Jackson has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.56 runs per game on average), something Bell County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
