Republic is 7-2 against Willard since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Republic will face off against Willard at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. Republic never let Carthage get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Republic needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Willard waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Eagles. Willard's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Willard's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven games. As for Republic, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Republic couldn't quite get it done against Willard in their previous matchup on Monday as they fell 2-0. Can Republic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
