Softball Game Preview: Tartan Titans vs. North Polars

Tartan hasn't had much luck against North recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Titans will square off against the Polars at 4:30 p.m.

Tartan is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Thursday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Hastings. Titans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Raiders since on Thursday.

River Ambourn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday North sidestepped Simley for an 8-7 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Polars.

Tartan's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for North, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Tartan suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to North when the teams last played back in April. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
