Highland won the last time they faced Thunder Ridge, and Cedric Mitchell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Rams took down the Titans 38-23 on Friday for which the team can thank Mitchell, who rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 106 rushing yards per game.

Thunder Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryder Portmann, who threw for 247 yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Preston McDaniel, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Highland's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. As for Thunder Ridge, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will venture away from home to face off against Pocatello at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Thunder's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.25 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Thunder Ridge, they will face off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
