Volleyball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Extends Winning Streak to Four

Rushford-Peterson entered their tilt with St. Charles on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Fighting Saints with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Rushford-Peterson was led to victory by Kayla Magin and Avree Connaughty. Magin had six digs and five aces, while Connaughty had seven assists and four digs. Those five aces gave Magin a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Rushford-Peterson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Rushford-Peterson's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for St. Charles, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Rushford-Peterson will be playing at home against La Crescent at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Charles, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bethlehem Academy at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
