Basketball Recap: Silex Owls vs. St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights
Silex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt an 86-46 loss at the hands of the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Reed, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine assists. What's more, Reed also racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Michael Leine was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.
Silex's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-15.
Coming up, Silex will head out on the road to challenge Wellsville-Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. Silex is facing Wellsville-Middletown at the right time seeing as Wellsville-Middletown is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 83-71 win against North Missouri HomeSchool on the 14th.
