Western Albemarle came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Orange County Fighting Hornets as they made off with a 61-35 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Orange County lost, don't look at Laney Fayard. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 9 to rack up 11 points and five boards. Fayard continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sydney Hearl was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Western Albemarle pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Orange County, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
