Volleyball Recap: Bloomer Comes Up Short

Bloomer lost against Hudson back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blackhawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubrey Tarnowski paced Bloomer's offense, picking up five kills. Tarnowski got some help from Brianna Jacobs and her ten assists. Miah Yohnk controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hudson was led to victory by Kaitlyn Drost and Della Dreher. Drost had ten digs and two assists, while Dreher had five digs. That's the most digs Drost has posted over her last seven matches. Lucy Schmidtknecht also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Bloomer now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hudson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Bloomer has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Superior on the 30th. As for Hudson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Elk Mound on the 30th.
