Football Recap: Hopewell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 41 points the game before, Hopewell was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 23-7 bruising from the Central Valley Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the defeat, Hopewell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore James Armstrong rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 193 yards on 14 of 25 attempts.

Hopewell's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Central Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Hopewell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-36 defeat against North Catholic on the 24th. As for Central Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-31 victory against North Hills on the 24th.
