Football Game Preview: Plainview Bulldogs vs. Legacy Leopards

The Plainview Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Legacy Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plainview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Legacy likes a good challenge.

Plainview took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over Lubbock-Cooper. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Pirates are ranked 208th).

Meanwhile, Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 49-26 to Lubbock-Cooper.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Plainview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Plainview was able to grind out a solid victory over Legacy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 28-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
