Basketball Recap: Gallia Academy Comes Up Short

Gallia Academy was the 52-33 winner over Dawson-Bryant when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gallia Academy Blue Devils took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dawson-Bryant Hornets on Thursday.

Gallia Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Dawson-Bryant, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gallia Academy will face off against Chesapeake at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Dawson-Bryant has already played their next game (against River Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
