Volleyball Recap: Union Pines Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Union Pines had won 12 straight at home, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 22-2 to make it 13. They blew past the Harnett Central Trojans 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Trojans back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Leading Union Pines to victory were Allie Bauer and Mylee Scruggs. Bauer had 16 assists and six digs, while Scruggs had eight digs. Bauer is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season.

As for Harnett Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 21-4 record. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in September.

Despite the loss, Harnett Central still got an impressive performance from Allie Williams, who had seven digs and two aces.

As of now, neither Union Pines nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
