Chisum waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Edgewood Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 63-47. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 683rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chisum's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Edgewood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chisum will take on Miller Grove in a holiday battle at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Edgewood, they will be home for the holidays to greet Rains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
