Volleyball Recap: Los Altos Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Los Altos had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Washington 3-0.

While Los Altos won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20, 25-23.

Aviya Russo paced Los Altos' offense, picking up seven kills. Russo got some help from Angela Deng and her 20 assists. Russo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Los Altos will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Westmont at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Balboa on the 29th.
